Client Testimonials

"I have used Cathy on several Real Estate transactions, both selling and buying and I cannot imagine working with any other Realtor.  Cathy brings years of experience and knowledge to the table along with a can-do attitude for                     her clients.  Cathy is an expert by all measures. I highly recommend her!"

Jim Foley, North Potomac, MD

I want to take this opportunity to say how much I enjoyed working with Cathy on the purchase of my new home.  She was recommended to me by a friend and from the moment I met her, I knew I was in good hands.

Cathy listened to what I indicated I was looking for in a home.  She was aware that my husband had recently passed unexpectedly and that I was a bit emotional.  She really listened to me and was patient with showing me several different homes.  I told her my mother-in-law was going to be moving in with me so she knew we were looking for something to suit both of us even though I would own it.  She definitely knows the Leesburg/Hamilton/Purcellville area.  After seeing a few homes that I indicated I wanted to see, she sent me an email with information on a home in Purcellville.  It looked interesting but I didn't think it was exactly what my mother-in-law was looking for.  However, I told her I'd look at it.  From the moment I walked into that house, I felt like I was at home.  I loved the layout and the yard.  I liked that it was in the old town part of Purcellville and not in a development.  I wasn't sure how my mother-in-law felt about it though.  We saw that house on a Friday.  Cathy indicated that the listing agent had an open house scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday of that same weekend.  Even though I really liked that house, I opted to keep looking because there were a few other houses we had wanted to see.  So, Cathy arranged for us to see the other houses on Saturday.  After looking at the other houses, Cathy and I were talking about the benefits of living in a town vs. out in the country especially now that I was single.  Then Cathy told me that my mother-in-law had told her she really liked the house in Purcellville and that sealed it for me as that was definitely my favorite.  I told Cathy I wanted to make an offer.  We agreed on what I should initially offer for the house and Cathy indicated the sellers would most likely counter so I was prepared for that.  Cathy worked all weekend, staying in contact with the listing agent and keeping me apprised every step of the way until my offer was countered and I accepted the counter.  This was my first home purchase where I would be the sole owner of the home.  Cathy answered all of my questions and was a great help to me.  I really felt like I was working with a partner and I was not going into this alone.  Cathy explained everything to me.  She made phone calls on my behalf while I was at work to get information on the heating system in the house.  When I thought I would have issues getting homeowner's insurance due to the location of the fuel oil storage tank, Cathy jumped in and provided great information.  She and I were in daily contact.  I never once got the feeling from her that I was asking too many questions or taking up too much of her time.  While I know this was not true, she made me feel like I was the only customer she was working with during this time.

My offer was accepted the middle of October and my closing date was December 2nd.  Cathy knew that my goal was to be moved in before the holidays.  My closing date was maintained and I think Cathy was just as excited as I was because she knew how important this was to me.  She took a photo of me at closing holding the keys to my new home.  Since closing and since moving in, Cathy has touched base with me several times to see how my mother-in-law are doing.

Cathy made the whole home buying process seamless and painless.  I enjoyed working with her and I will not hesitate to recommend her.  She is an excellent real estate agent and she really knows her stuff.  I am confident you know this about her but I wanted to let you know how impressed I was working with her.  Because of her, I have the home of my dreams and my mother-in-law is just as pleased with it.  If it had not been for her showing me the listing, I would have bypassed it in my internet searches because I was not initially looking at anything in town.  I am ever so thankful that Cathy came into my life when she did.  I love my new home.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need additional information.

Thank you and Happy New Year,

Cathy was recommended to me by my Mom, who had previously worked with Cathy in various home owner associations. From the moment the introduction was made, Cathy went above and beyond to try to meet our every needs. At the time I was engaged, and my now wife was living in New Jersey. Over the course of several weeks, we looked at about 10-15 properties in the Loudoun County Virginia area. Cathy was extremely accommodating to our difficult schedule. On the days we went to look at houses, Cathy would email us a list of potential houses, as well as the addresses and times. Every time we arrived at a house to look at, Cathy was always waiting for us. Throughout the entire process, she was always very attentive and knowledgeable. Details such as all the specifications on the house, the neighborhood, the HOA, comparable sales prices etc. Since this was my first time purchasing a home, it was amazing to have someone on our side, helping us every step of the way. When looking at potential houses, she could point out things that were potential issues, as well as bonuses.

After getting pre-approved, we decided we wanted to buy new. Cathy found us several neighborhoods, and took us on the tours of the models. Once we decided, she used her years of experience to find ways to cut cost and fees. Once we made the agreement to purchase the house, Cathy was still very actively involved. She served as a constant line of communication between us and the builder. Honestly, being a young couple, I felt the builder didn’t take us seriously. When we would raise an issue with Cathy, she would have a resolution in writing the next day from the builder. She was present for the pre-drywall walk through, and two pre settlement walk throughs. Again it was great because she would point out issues that I might not have noticed. When the walk through was done, she had prepared a written “fix” list of issues that had to be fixed prior to settlement. She helped us follow up on those to make sure that all assurances were taken care of days prior to settlement. This is why we had the second pre-settlement walk through.

Leading up to settlement, Cathy also stepped up and acted as a liaison between us and the lender. She made sure that we were getting the required documents in on time.. This was another example of her going above and beyond for me and my wife. When it came time to sign the paper work and settle, again Cathy was there providing knowledge and explaining documents that I had never seen before. The settlement lawyer represented the contract but it was clear Cathy worked for us. Once we got our keys, we were so excited, we invited Cathy over to our house. As we took our first steps in the door, she snapped a photo of my carrying my wife over the threshold. A moment that I will never forget. I have worked with a lot of different companies, in different industries, but I can tell you with 100% confidence that Cathy provided top notch customer service. I also found that she had tons of knowledge, and ways to use that knowledge to our advantage. Any question I ever asked of Cathy, she knew, or would find me the answer. I always felt that she was easy to contact, and that she was available assist us in any way she could.

If I were to rate my experience on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, I would without a doubt give Cathy an 11. I really feel she was that good! You could tell she worked for us, and wanted the best for us. She would put in the time and effort to get us what we needed, or where we needed to be. One final thing, she gave us a small house warming gift, and still periodically checks up on us to make sure everything is going well in the new house. Both my wife and I couldn’t imagine a better experience buying the house then the one we had with Cathy. We would strongly recommend her to anyone for any type of residential real estate needs. You will have a great experience working with her, and I would imagine you will be beyond satisfied like us when the process is complete.
